Crimes Exemplares is a literary work by Max Aub, comprised of concise narratives that chronicle a myriad of crimes occurring in diverse forms and situations. Primarily of a surreal nature, these criminal acts exhibit impulses of extreme violence, devoid of ethical or moral constraints, delivering a form of comedic discourse that accentuates the absurd. While the veracity of these tales remains elusive, they beckon the reader to contemplate the boundaries of mental sanity and the triggers that can propel individuals into the realm of irrationality. Both the editorial (boardgame) and multimedia (AR posters) components of this work delve into contrasting dualities that establish a connection to the time periods in which these crimes transpired: the animal and the innocent, sobriety and madness, veracity and skepticism.
